Conrad Kirby, Lloyd Williams and Charles Thomas are the first, second and third place winners respectively of the Blue Marlins Swim Club fundraising raffle.

 

The raffle which started in February was drawn last Tuesday April 5th at Digicel’s Conference Room located in the Lewis Building on James Street. Kirby won a Blackberry Curve compliments Digicel, Williams who a spa treatment compliments Oasis Spa while Thomas won himself three months free swimming lessons compliments the Blue Marlins Swim Club and Ricky’s Swim School.

 

Kirby’s name was pulled from the bag by swimmer Arthur LaBorde while Williams luck came at the hands of Shane Cadougan. Paige Cadougan pulled Thomas’ name from the bag.

 

Coach and Head of the Blue Marlins Swim Club Rickydene Alexander said that the raffle was held in an effort to raise funds to assist the club to journey to St. Lucia to take part in a swim meet this weekend beginning today Friday April 8th to Sunday April 10th.

 

Witnessing the draw, Marketing Manager at Digicel Juno DeRoche said that Digicel is always happy to assist sporting organizations whenever they can. She added that contributing to the raffle is one of the many ways that Digicel gives back to the community.
