West Indies A team makes major donation
June 12th 2012 - West Indies A team makes major donationThe School for Children with Special Needs is the beneficiary of a donation from the players of the West Indies A Team.
West Indies A team manager Colin Borde said that donation came as a result of a visit that the team made to the school recently.
“When we visited the school we were mesmerized and inspired by the young kids who were not only warm and intelligent but full of energy and knowledge about cricket”, said Borde.
He added that as human beings we must recognize that whatever situation we are in we must make the most of it, “and that is what inspired the team to make this monetary contribution”.
The money was collected by Marketing Manager at Digicel Juno DeRoche and handed over to Principal at the Fernside based institution Fredra Samuel.
We are very grateful because we always depend on donations as we are responsible for raising our own funds and it will go a very long way”, said Samuel.
